At Blossom Cosmetic Clinic, we favour Enlighten, an industry leader that works to repair enamel while it whitens. The treatment involves assessing your smile, creating custom trays for the whitening procedure, and air polishing (if desired) to give a further boost to your results. You’ll then be able to carry out the treatment at home, and top-up as and when needed. Incredibly, the treatment can take your teeth up to 12 shades whiter.
Previous whitening treatments have been associated with increased sensitivity in the teeth, but thanks to advancements in whitening technology and new formulations, sensitivity is either rare, or mild when it does occur.
It varies, depending on the condition of your teeth ahead of treatment, but some of our patients enjoy results for up to 2 years.
As with many other cosmetic dental treatments, you can help your results last longer through avoiding smoking, cutting down on sugar and ensuring you brush and floss twice daily – with regular check-ups.
For teeth whitening, we also recommend avoiding staining foods and drinks (including coffee, red wine, carbonated drinks).
